Cormac McCarthy describes for us the dystopia of an apocalyptic society where we remain in possession only of a shopping cart, and on the road. The consumerism never gets us used for the worst, namely to the starvation. Neither from that a civilization should restart, maybe. Anastasia posed for a photography only in black and white. She was framed in the chair, with a model classically spartan. In the gaze, we tend to perceive a pride mixed with a melancholy. There is the abandonment of the hands, with the counterbalance of a belt where the portholes could ripple into a distant shore. We imagine a configuration as “shopping cart” for the one shoulder top. Anastasia rides the chair in unnatural way, almost “consuming” it. Aesthetically, the photography is perceived at the existentialism of the Bohemian. The legs would have been cut leaving a flap of skin as small wheel, for a cart compared to a chair.
